WORLD FUCKYOU / HUMAN FRICTION SERVICES

WORLD
FU

A global leader in unnecessary human friction.

You do what you want. Other people deal with it. Then when other people inconvenience you, you get to be pissed. Premium living, now available almost everywhere.

01 / Field

WELCOME TO WORLD FU

YOU ABSORB ME.

I want to do something. Your experience is inconvenient to my freedom. So you can move, wait, listen, tolerate it, clean it up, control your dog, deal with my dog, answer my demand, or otherwise adapt.

I DON'T ABSORB YOU.

You inconvenience me. I notice immediately. Your context disappears. My irritation becomes important. A face, horn, command, complaint, glare, lecture, or retaliation may follow.

FU-first is not merely rudeness. It is an asymmetric way of moving through shared reality.

Your own wants, habits, urgency, noise, mistakes, animals, moods, and preferences receive context. Other people's impact on you receives scrutiny.

WORLD FU comes in several forms. You can impose first. You can retaliate first. You can even begin hostile before anyone has done anything at all.

The common structure is simple:

My experience gets priority. Yours gets conditions.

02 / Mechanics

THE FU MACHINE

Different routes. Same destination: somebody else absorbs it.

IMPOSITION-FIRST

I want something.

Another person's experience would constrain me.

Their experience becomes secondary.

I do it anyway.

You absorb me.

RETALIATION-FIRST

Something reaches me that I don't want.

I rapidly assign fault.

Your context shrinks.

My irritation becomes permission.

I make you absorb my response.

01I want / don't want something.
02Another mind enters the equation.
03Their experience becomes inconvenient.
04I downgrade it.
05I authorize myself.
06They absorb the cost.
03 / Premium

WORLD FU PREMIUM™

All the freedom. None of the reciprocity.

Feature 01

CONTEXT+

Your behavior comes with unlimited explanation. You were tired. Distracted. In a hurry. Only there for a second. Your dog is friendly. You didn't mean anything by it.

Feature 02

CHARACTER MODE

Other people need no such context. Their mistake can be converted directly into inconsiderate, selfish, rude, careless, stupid, or entitled.

Feature 03

PRIORITY REALITY

Your route, schedule, preferred volume, preferred distance, preferred pace, and preferred use of shared space become the default environment.

Feature 04

RECIPROCITY REMOVAL

Expect consideration without the burden of continuously considering other people back.

Feature 05

PERSONAL RULE ENGINE

Rules protecting you are important. Rules constraining you may be excessive, stupid, optional, situational, or somebody else's problem.

Feature 06

INSTANT AUTHORIZATION™

Once somebody has inconvenienced you, unlock premium access to tone, glare, horn, command, lecture, complaint, or punishment.

CONTEXT FOR ME. CHARACTER FOR YOU.

04 / Expectations

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO ME

A preference becomes an expectation. An expectation becomes somebody else's obligation.

PreferenceI would prefer that.
ExpectationThat's what people should do.
ObligationThey should know.
ViolationNow they've done something wrong.
AuthorizationNow I get to respond.

The other person may never have received the expectation.

This presents a difficult information problem.

WORLD FU solves it with irritation.

THEY SHOULD KNOW.
I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO ASK.
THIS IS COMMON SENSE.
05 / Everyday

EVERYDAY WORLD FU

The field is not rare. It is mostly ordinary.

THE STREET

  • Walk three across and make everyone else reroute.
  • Stop in a doorway because your stop matters more than the traffic behind you.
  • Stop at the top of the stairs or escalator. Excellent place to decide what happens next.
  • Leave your bike, scooter, bag, or body where other people must negotiate around it.
  • Walk directly at somebody. One of you will move.
  • Then glare when somebody else inconveniences you.

DOG WORLD

  • Stand on one side of the sidewalk while your dog stands on the other. The leash is now infrastructure.
  • Let your dog sniff or lick strangers. Good news: your dog likes them.
  • Stop for a long sniff in pedestrian flow. Everyone behind you can reorganize.
  • Let your dog run up to another dog because yours is friendly. The other dog can absorb the encounter you chose.
  • Ignore a request for distance because you think the request is unnecessary.
  • Then expect immediate control when somebody else's dog affects yours.

SOUND

  • Take a speakerphone call in a cafe. Why hold the phone to your ear when the whole room can participate?
  • Walk beside strangers while conducting your phone call at full volume. They were apparently part of the meeting.
  • Watch videos through your phone speaker in a waiting area. Headphones are for the people around you.
  • Need everyone nearby to know you do not give a fuck? Volume remains one of the industry's most reliable tools.

ON THE ROAD

  • Force the merge when you want in.
  • Close the gap when somebody else wants in.
  • Use the horn to transmit irritation rather than information.
  • Speed up when somebody tries to pass.
  • Turn a driving mistake into a character assessment.
  • Use two tons of machinery to send a facial expression.

IN THE BUILDING

  • Your preferred quiet becomes the building's duty.
  • Your own sound comes with reasons.
  • Your usual parking space becomes yours without paperwork.
  • Your package, laundry, hallway, trash, and door habits become normal by familiarity.
  • Other residents remain unusually inconsiderate.

SHOPPING & QUEUES

  • Leave the cart sideways. The aisle can adapt.
  • Reach the front before deciding what you need. Everyone can discover it with you.
  • Finish your phone call while the worker waits. They're already there.
  • Hold one place in line for several people. Your position includes guest access.
  • Leave the cart in a parking spot. There are employees for that.

WITH WORKERS

  • Begin with the demand because greeting is overhead.
  • Turn your urgency into their emergency.
  • Expect them to absorb your frustration with the system.
  • Interpret inability as unwillingness.
  • Expect warmth while delivering none.

ONLINE

  • Read quickly and infer confidently.
  • Convert ambiguity into offense.
  • Respond to the worst available interpretation.
  • When corrected, defend the reaction instead of revising the model.
  • Make misunderstanding somebody else's burden.
06 / Territory

IMAGINED OWNERSHIP

One of WORLD FU's most successful products is property that exists only in your head.

MY PARKING SPOT
MY LANE
MY QUIET
MY SIDEWALK
MY TABLE
MY TIMING

The ownership is psychological.

The feeling of trespass can still be completely real.

WORLD FU then uses the feeling as evidence that trespass actually occurred.

07 / Signaling

THE FACES OF FU

Sometimes the entire message is: you displeased me, and I want you to know it.

THE GLARE
THE EYE ROLL
THE HEAD SHAKE
THE SIGH
THE MUTTER
THE WINDSHIELD STARE
THE VIOLENT OBJECT PLACEMENT
THE THEATRICAL LEASH PULL
THE DOOR CLOSED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

No words required.

No problem needs to be solved.

Simply make sure the other person receives your displeasure.

08 / Permission

THE OPPORTUNITY

The offense creates the license.

WORLD FU loves a legitimate opening.

Somebody breaks a rule. Makes a mistake. Takes too long. Fails to notice something. Says something clumsily. Leaves something where it should not be.

Now the stored hostility has a justification.

The voice sharpens. The face arrives. The horn fires. The lecture starts. The complaint becomes personal. The correction acquires extra force.

The original problem may be tiny.

The permission feels enormous.

09 / Before

PREEMPTIVE FU

No actual offense required.

Sometimes another person has not yet done anything.

But they might.

So the interaction begins hostile.

DON'T.
I'M WARNING YOU.
PEOPLE ALWAYS...
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.
I ALREADY KNOW HOW THIS GOES.
YOU BETTER NOT.
10 / Status

SELECTIVE POLITENESS

WORLD FU is not a lack of social skill when the skill appears on command.

UP

Courtesy.
Bosses. Authority. Important clients. Attractive strangers. Cameras. Consequences.

SIDE

Negotiation.
Peers. Equals. People with leverage. People who can answer back.

DOWN

Discharge.
Workers. Residents. Strangers. Subordinates. People unlikely to impose a cost.

The capacity exists.

The allocation changes.

11 / Soft FU

JUST CHECKING IN™

Sometimes WORLD FU lowers its voice.

JUST CHECKING IN.

  • Their silence is making you uncomfortable.
  • Time to make contact.

I WAS WORRIED.

  • Concern gives access a warmer tone.
  • Their reason for distance can remain outside scope.

I JUST WANT THINGS NORMAL.

  • Restore the relationship state you preferred.
  • Repair can be discussed later. Much later. Ideally never.

I'M ONLY TRYING TO HELP.

  • Override, now available with care packaging.
  • Best results occur when you simply define your preferred outcome as what is best for them.

Why admit you're demanding access when you can call it concern?

WORLD FU. Now available in a softer voice.

12 / Systems

INSTITUTIONAL FU

Eventually, the attitude no longer needs a person. It becomes procedure.

An institution can externalize inconvenience onto the people least able to refuse it.

Nobody has to wake up intending to be cruel. The workflow can distribute the FU across scripts, departments, policies, portals, deadlines, queues, and responsibilities.

RoutingSend the person somewhere else.
ContinuityMake them explain the same thing again.
EnforcementApply the rule where convenient and flexibility where favored.
OwnershipDecline an easy fix because it belongs to another department.
LanguageWrap indifference in professional courtesy.
ClosureUse “policy” as the point where thought stops.
WE UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERN.
UNFORTUNATELY...
PER POLICY...
13 / Scale

THE COST OF WORLD FU

Most incidents are small. Culture is what happens when small things repeat.

Ambient hostility
Defensive living
Reciprocal suspicion
Wasted cognition
Neighborhood distrust
Worker-customer escalation
Institutional alienation
Anger looking for somewhere else to go

One person externalizes a little friction. Another person receives it and becomes more defensive. That defense becomes somebody else's friction.

Eventually people begin encounters already expecting trouble.

Then the expectation helps produce the world it expected.

14 / Precision

WHEN FUCK YOU ISN'T WORLD FU

A boundary is not the same thing as an imposition. Anger is not the same thing as hostility-first.

WORLD FU

  • I impose and expect you to absorb it.
  • I experience friction and jump quickly to punishment.
  • My preference becomes your obligation.
  • Your context matters less once I am irritated.
  • The response serves discharge, domination, or needless imposition.

WARRANTED FU

  • A real boundary has been crossed.
  • The situation has been understood well enough to act.
  • Clearer or lower-friction attempts have failed, or immediate force is actually necessary.
  • The response serves protection, refusal, termination, or stopping continued imposition.
  • The goal is not to make another person carry your irritation for its own sake.

Saying no is not WORLD FU.

Anger is not WORLD FU.

Confrontation is not WORLD FU.

Stopping cooperation with someone who repeatedly refuses to cooperate is not WORLD FU.

You may even reach a perfectly coherent:

Fuck you.

The words are not the phenomenon. The architecture producing them is.

WORLD FU begins with other minds being discounted. A warranted FU may be what remains after another mind repeatedly discounts yours.

15 / Mirror

ARE YOU FU-FIRST?

The easiest FU to see is usually somebody else's.

01
Do you expect other people to absorb behavior from you that would irritate you coming from them?
02
When you want something, how quickly does another person's experience become an obstacle?
03
When somebody inconveniences you, how quickly do you assign fault or intent?
04
Do your mistakes receive explanations while other people's mistakes reveal character?
05
Do you become more polite when the other person has more status or leverage?
06
Do you expect strangers to know preferences you never communicated?
07
How much of “common sense” means “the thing I personally expected”?
08
Do you ever enjoy finally having a legitimate reason to tell somebody off?
09
When somebody explains themselves, do you update—or become irritated that the explanation weakened your case against them?
10
Do you want understanding when you create friction, and punishment when somebody else does?
16 / FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why shouldn’t I let my dog run up to your dog?

You should.

Your dog is friendly.

If their dog has a problem with that, they should have trained it better.

But what if they ask me to keep my dog away?

Some people are extremely controlling.

Try explaining again that your dog is friendly.

Why should I move? They can go around.

Exactly.

You were there first.

Or maybe you weren’t.

Either way, they have legs.

Why shouldn’t I use speakerphone in a cafe?

Why hold the phone to your ear when the whole room can participate?

What if people are trying to work or talk?

They picked a public place.

Why shouldn’t I honk when somebody pisses me off?

How else will they know?

The horn ensures that your emotional assessment reaches the other vehicle immediately.

Why should I let somebody merge in front of me?

You shouldn’t have to lose twelve feet of roadway because they failed to plan ahead.

Accelerate slightly.

But I need to merge sometimes too.

Completely different situation.

Why should I have to ask? They should know.

Correct.

If you have to communicate your expectations, something has already gone wrong.

Why should I say excuse me when somebody is in my way?

They should be paying attention.

A stare is usually sufficient.

What if they don’t notice the stare?

Sigh.

If they still don’t notice, you now have grounds.

Why should I care if my neighbor can hear me?

People make noise.

That is apartment living.

What if I can hear my neighbor?

Completely unacceptable.

You pay to live there.

Someone parked where I usually park.

This is one of the oldest forms of property theft not currently recognized by law.

Begin monitoring the situation.

It isn’t actually my assigned space.

That makes enforcement more difficult, not ownership less real.

Why should I return the shopping cart?

There are employees for that.

Why should I be polite to customer service when the company screwed up?

Exactly. They are currently the closest available representative of everyone who has disappointed you.

What if the worker had nothing to do with it?

They work there. That means they are a part of having something to do with it.

Why can’t people just follow the rules?

Exactly. Rules are what keep society functioning.

What if the rule inconveniences me?

Rules need common-sense exceptions.

Somebody made an honest mistake. Do I still get to be angry?

Yes.

The mistake has already occurred.

Intent cannot undo inconvenience.

What if I make an honest mistake?

You didn’t mean it.

People need to understand context.

What if somebody tells me I’m doing exactly what I complain about?

Deflection.

Stay focused on what they did.

Why is everyone so sensitive?

Nobody can take anything anymore.

Your own reactions remain completely different.

Why can’t everyone just be more considerate?

One of WORLD FU’s founding questions.

We recommend they start immediately.

What if I just ask what happened?

WORLD FU does not currently recommend weakening a strong initial conclusion with additional information.

What if I’m wrong?

You were reacting to the information available at the time.

That is basically the same as being right.

Is WORLD FU right for me?

If you have ever thought:

Why should I have to deal with this?

you may already be a Premium member.

17 / Exit

FINE.

So apparently other people are real too.

They have places to be. Things they are dealing with. Preferences you do not know about. Boundaries you did not personally choose. Dogs that are not your dog. Mistakes that make sense from inside lives you cannot see.

And, inconveniently, they may be experiencing you at the same time you are experiencing them.

Which means there are at least two ways to proceed.

We can keep making everyone else absorb us while becoming furious whenever we have to absorb anyone else.

Or—
fine.

We could build something better.
